The Historic Carnival of Ivrea
The Carnival A to Z
Riappacificazione degli abitanti dei Rioni del Castellazzo e del Borghetto
This ceremony takes place on the morning of the penultimate Sunday of carnival. It symbolises the reconciliation between the inhabitants of the Borghetto quarter, in the parish of San Grato, and the inhabitant of San Maurizio parish.
Peace was made thanks to two women in the two quarters. Following the reconciliation the women made a three-coloured flag with the Savoy cross, featuring a raven with an olive branch in its mouth.
The leader of the Croatia Committee is the Bano, who presides over all the carnival events connected with the Croatia festival, especially the distribution of Polenta and Cod on Ash Wednesday.
